Actually, the problem was that since support was dropped for Windows Server 2003 a graphics driver was turned off with that update which caused some games not to run. However, the solution is to simply turn it back on and then your games will work. Now, here's the instructions that somebody who encountered the same problem e-mailed me:
- Open the device manager
- Under View, check Show hidden devices.
- Then, click on Non-Plug and Play Drivers.
- Double click Security Driver.
- And on the Driver tab, click on Start.
Thank goodness for that. Stupid Microsoft.

Okay, I download the game off of here and it ran perfectly when I installed it, but after a few days later it would not load at all and just keeps giving me this error.
Says It "管理者権限でログインして,再実行して下さい= Login with administrator privileges, and please try again."
Did you guys ever run into this problem? I do hope so.

Don't worry about that. I used dialogue from different parts of the game so all I would need to do is grab the Russian TL from those parts. Though I wonder, would I need permission from the translation team before doing something like that?

Hi guys. I was wondering if any of the CG rips of Girlfriend of Steel 2nd PS2 or PSP were mirrored on this community (or anywhere else for that matter) since the link for it on Evageeks has been long dead. I'm interested because I think that a PS2 graphics patch for the PC version could be possible using its assets. Anyone?

At long last, a full release. It is done, I only have to spot check it but that'll take weeks for multiple playthroughs and I doubt people care so I'm gonna release it. You can get the download here, thanks for hanging on this long guys.

They probably did, Evangelin goes hand in hand with porn anyways. About the what kind of future segment, it's just a general event to hint at your endings, or at least I think so as she responds "I want to be a tennis player" or "I want to be a pianist".

Neither do I, emulation. Anyhow, forgot to post about the recent update but it's here now. Right now, I'm nearing the end of Asuka's story so only side events and the various endings will soon be left to finish.

Yea sure, go ahead. That would be great, it was sad to see the English community or Evageeks weren't that interested though. The worst thing is I can't even bump the thread and they don't have a dedicated video games section, they lump it in everything else Evangelion. I have asked and they said there's no point and that people use everything else Evangelion for the games. Maybe so but having it's own section would help categorize things, you know like this forum but whatever. Excuse me for my rant.
Anyhow most of the endings are pretty lame, I did like some of them but I expected better. Especially when they can't even match up the ending text with the picture, the game was also half passed. You can't even save Rei from the Angel, something which I expected and it pissed me off when you couldn't. That and the dummy plug Rei's, you can't save them either. Where's my Rei harem ending, I'm just saying. It would be funny for a secret ending, I'm not asking for an orgy or anything like that. Don't ask how many times I have bitched and moaned about the faults of this game in my progress updates, the worst thing is that people don't even read them. Something which I have mentioned before, morons. Its funny because I mentioned I wasn't going to release the translation in one of my posts and nobody commented about that, I could just tell nobody read the update.

Yea they did, the game is very balanced. Much better than the PC version, except its harder to get Rei in love status than the PC version. That was annoying because it's happened at multiple different times in my playthroughs, making me wonder if they changed how to get her into that status other than affection at 70 and pheromones over 200. Probably did, that and they added more training options plus a bunch of minor stuff. Although for example, they just split the physical training into strength and fitness but they offer different stat increases which is nice. That's something I liked about the port, people could possibly implement changes into the PC version to improve it. Like actually balancing the stats increases.

Yea I know, that was a half hearted remark. I know they're not actually like that and it doesn't reflect how they are currently. I just think its worth noting that they did, I know he thought he was being funny with the Gendo and Rei 1 mention but the fact is, he read that and many others noting it was mostly lame porn and not serious enough for him. I'm just saying, anyway this only takes a moment of my time but I can understand what you mean by it being unhealthy though.

I do expect that sort of stuff anywhere but not people discussing rape of a character, especially when its in a general discussion thread. If it was else where I wouldn't be susprised, although still disgusted.
I even dug through those other topics to find the incriminating evidence and he isn't joking, very serious. Here's the specific post, Reichu a founder of Evageeks and a pediofile who calls raping children fun. I really enjoy bashing Evageeks, they do deserve it.

They're talking about jack shit now so I started reading through old threads and found it, something like this wouldn't happen now but it just goes to show what Evageeks are really like. Even some of the moderators and founders of Evageeks joined in, it was a really sad and pathetic sight to see. User Reichu (A founder or whoever the hell he is) even mentioned in another old thread that he read a H-doujinshi where Gendo rapes "Rei 1", he didn't say it was sick or wrong but just that he was "curious". I'm not even sure it was legal for him to say that knowing the age of Rei 1, around 5. He read that and many more hentai doujinshi's from the site he saw it on, that made me sick to my stomach.
I wouldn't be as upset if all of this was in a section on the forum for junk like this but no, this thread was jampacked in the good old chit chat section. They like to think they're not 4 chan but even now they have a topic for softcore porn, titled waifupalooza. My opinion is even lower now, a month or two they also had a topic discussing did Gendo ever do stuff with Rei. You can just guess what that stuff was, and yes they are being serious.

Yeah, one of Microsoft's latest updates in recent weeks disabled the driver, so it's a very recent problem with the game. Though at least now there's a solution if anybody runs into in the future.
